The CDC Multi-Sensory Resource Expo will be staged on the 21st of March 2015. It will be a great opportunity to showcase products & services utilized by children and young adults with developmental disabilities. Psycho-motor development and stimulation of the senses are major aspects in management of disabilities especially in Early Intervention programmes. The Children’s Developmental Centre has been very innovative in this initiative using local resources that are readily available to effect implementation of multi-sensory stimulation for best therapeutic outcomes in management of disabilities in children and young adults. Attending this exhibition will afford participants the opportunity to be better acquainted with these technologies and provide them with great insights on efforts towards management of disabilities in Nigeria.
Stakeholders include educationists, pediatricians, therapists, civil society organisations, parents and everyone interested in this insightful exhibition that will really provide rich perspectives on matters of developmental disabilities such as autism, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy and learning challenges among others.
